Agentic Processes: Where to Start Without Getting Lost
The first mistake with agentic processes is almost always the same: starting from the technology instead of the process. An agent that helps a little everywhere ends up helping nowhere measurably.
Two questions before any pilot
- Is the process decidable? If a human only solves the task by gut feeling, an agent won’t solve it more reliably — it will just imitate the gut feeling faster and more confidently.
- Is the error affordable? Where a wrong step is expensive or regulatory sensitive, clarify control first, not automation.
Small, but real
A good first pilot is tightly scoped, has a clear success signal, and runs on real data — not in a demo environment. The value lies less in the first result than in what you learn about your own process.
